Golf in Madeira

The two Golf Clubs in Madeira:

Palheiro Golf
Barely 10 km away from Funchal, this beautiful golf course sits on a hillside as if it was a large and green veranda overlooking Funchal, its bay and the vast ocean.

This 18-hole, par 72 course was built in Palheiro Gardens, famous for its mature trees and for being one of the oldest and largest private estates on the island. The 18th hole ends by the Clubhouse for a well-deserved drink. This is certainly a luxurious setting with an exciting course for an excellent day’s golfing.

Santo da Serra Golf
This is the first golf course built in Madeira as far back as 1937 when a group of British settlers started with a nine-hole.

In 1991 the final 18-holes were completed in the idyllic village of Santo da Serra, making it a 27 hole, par 72 course.

Just 20 minutes away from Funchal centre, visit this wonderful course amidst lush vegetation with panoramic views over the south of Madeira and enjoy golfing in style, in a traditional atmosphere.
